It’s the waiting that’s the worst part. As every second rushes by, it becomes harder. My resolve weakens. I have four days left! Four days! I want to close my eyes, to forget about it all. But I can’t. All I want to do is escape. To run away. I tried pacing up and down. But the bright, white walls became oppressive, blinding. The room was so small; I was dizzy, like I had been going round in circles. I supposed I had. There are no windows, no doors. Just intense, dazzling, blinding white walls.
